Abstract
A cardan joint spider comprising a body having four right-angled brackets, each bracket presenting two mutually perpendicular arms, the arm of one bracket being assembled to the arm of an adjacent bracket so as to form a cross-shaped spider having four branches.

A cardan joint spider comprising a body having four right-angled brackets, each bracket presenting two mutually perpendicular arms, an arm of one bracket being assembled to an arm of an adjacent bracket so as to form a cross-shaped spider having four branches the body including at least four stiffeners, a stiffener being mounted between the two arms of each bracket, wherein each stiffener is fastened to each arm of a bracket by means of at least two bolts.
