Abstract
A compact handheld cleaning device 10 comprises a cleaning element 12; a motor 16 to drive the cleaning element 12; a housing 14 to house the motor 16; a first battery portion on a first side of the motor; and a second battery portion on an opposing side of the motor.
Claims20
A compact handheld cleaning device, comprising:
- a cleaning element;
- a motor to drive the cleaning element;
- a housing to house the motor;
- a first battery portion on a first side of the motor;
- and
- a second battery portion on an opposing side of the motor;
- wherein a height of the housing is lesser than a diameter and/or width of the device;
- wherein the first battery portion and the second battery portion do not extend outside of a circumference of the cleaning element, above the circumference of the cleaning element;
- wherein, perpendicular to a rotational axis of the cleaning element, a highest point of the first battery portion is lower than a highest point of the motor, and a highest point of the second battery portion is lower than the highest point of the motor.

A compact handheld cleaning device, comprising:
- a cleaning element;
- a motor to drive the cleaning element;
- a housing to house the motor;
- a first battery portion on a first side of the motor;
- and
- a second battery portion on an opposing side of the motor;
- wherein a height of the housing is lesser than a diameter and/or width of the device;
- wherein a portion or a whole of the first battery portion and a portion or a whole of the second battery portion is within a circumference of the cleaning element, above the circumference of the cleaning element;
- wherein, perpendicular to a rotational axis of the cleaning element, a highest point of the first battery portion is lower than half way up the motor, and a highest point of the second battery portion is lower than half way up the motor.

A compact handheld cleaning device, comprising:
- a cleaning element;
- a motor to drive the cleaning element;
- a housing to house the motor;
- a first battery portion on a first side of the motor;
- and
- a second battery portion on an opposing side of the motor;
- wherein a height of the housing is lesser than a diameter and/or width of the device;
- wherein a portion or a whole of the first battery portion and a portion or a whole of the second battery portion is within a circumference of the cleaning element, above the circumference of the cleaning element;
- wherein, perpendicular to a rotational axis of the cleaning element, a highest point of the first battery portion is lower than the highest point of the motor, and a highest point of the second battery portion is lower than the highest point of the motor;
- wherein, with regard to the first battery portion and the second battery portion, when viewed as a flat image, from above:
- an outer side of the first battery portion is outwardly convexly shaped, to maximize utilization of space within the housing, space where the first battery portion is housed within the housing also being outwardly convexly shaped, around the outer side of the first battery portion, the outer side of the first battery portion being a side of the first battery portion that is furthest out from a centre of the cleaning element, from a top view;
- and
- an outer side of the second battery portion is outwardly convexly shaped, to maximize utilization of space within the housing, space where the second battery portion is housed within the housing also being outwardly convexly shaped, around the outer side of the second battery portion, the outer side of the second battery portion being a side of the second battery portion that is furthest out from the centre of the cleaning element, from a top view.
