A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a mobile terminal that receives connection information by a short range wireless communication from an apparatus having a scanning function for scanning an image of a document, generating image data based on the image and transmitting the generated image data to execute a method, the method comprising:

• displaying, by receiving from a user a user instruction for fixing a setting to be used in the scanning function, information that it is needed to position the mobile terminal close to the apparatus;
• and
• transmitting the setting to the apparatus by a wireless communication different from the short range wireless communication, the wireless communication being established using the received connection information.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a mobile terminal that receives connection information by a short range wireless communication from an apparatus having a scanning function for scanning an image of a document, generating image data based on the image and transmitting the generated image data to execute a method, the method comprising:

• displaying, after receiving from a user a setting to be used in the scanning function, information that prompts the user to touch the mobile terminal to the apparatus;
• and
• transmitting the received setting to the apparatus by a wireless communication different from the short range wireless communication, the wireless communication being established using the received connection information.

A method executed by a mobile terminal that receives connection information by a short range wireless communication from an apparatus having a scanning function for scanning an image of a document, generating image data based on the image and transmitting the generated image data, the method comprising:

• displaying, by receiving from a user a user instruction for fixing a setting to be used in the scanning function, information that prompts the user to touch the mobile terminal to the apparatus;
• and
• transmitting the setting to the apparatus by a wireless communication different from the short range wireless communication, the wireless communication being established using the received connection information.

A method executed by a mobile terminal that receives connection information by a short range wireless communication from an apparatus having a scanning function for scanning an image of a document, generating image data based on the image and transmitting the generated image data, the method comprising:

• displaying, by receiving from a user a user instruction for fixing a setting to be used in the scanning function, information that it is needed to position the mobile terminal close to the apparatus;
• and
• transmitting the setting to the apparatus by a wireless communication different from the short range wireless communication, the wireless communication being established using the received connection information.
