Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may connect to a set of source cell groups (CGs). The UE may receive a target cell group setup information, the target cell group setup information being associated with a set of target CGs. The UE may connect to the set of target CGs based at least in part on the target cell group setup information during a handover from the set of source CGs to the set of target CGs. The UE may disconnect from the set of source CGs after connecting to the set of target CGs. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Claims30
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the one or more processors configured to:
- transmit an indication of a UE capability associated with the UE, wherein the UE capability enables the UE to be handed over from multiple source secondary cell groups (SCGs) to multiple target SCGs;
- connect to the multiple source SCGs;
- receive target cell group setup information, wherein the target cell group setup information is associated with the multiple target SCGs;
- connect to the multiple target SCGs based at least in part on the target cell group setup information during a handover from the multiple source SCGs to the multiple target SCGs;
- and
- disconnect from the multiple source SCGs after connecting to the multiple target SCGs.
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- transmitting an indication of a UE capability associated with the UE, wherein the UE capability enables the UE to be handed over from multiple source secondary cell groups (SCGs) to multiple target SCGs;
- connecting to the multiple source SCGs;
- receiving target cell group setup information, wherein the target cell group setup information is associated with the multiple target SCGs;
- connecting to the multiple target SCGs based at least in part on the target cell group setup information during a handover from the multiple source SCGs to the multiple target SCGs;
- and
- disconnecting from the multiple source SCGs after connecting to the multiple target SCGs.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions for wireless communication, the set of instructions comprising:
- one or more instructions, when executed by one or more processors of a user equipment (UE), cause the UE to:
- transmit an indication of a UE capability associated with the UE, wherein the UE capability enables the UE to be handed over from multiple source secondary cell groups (SCGs) to multiple target SCGs;
- connect to the multiple source SCGs;
- receive a target cell group setup information, wherein the target cell group setup information is associated with the multiple target SCGs;
- connect to the multiple target SCGs based at least in part on the target cell group setup information during a handover from the multiple source SCGs to the multiple target SCGs;
- and
- disconnect from the multiple source SCGs after connecting to the multiple target SCGs.
