A device, comprising:

• at least one processor configured to:
• acquire information comprising service profile information about a first service from an upper layer of a first terminal associated with the device or an application layer of the first terminal and at least one of:
• access layer information about the first terminal, transmission parameter information configured for the first terminal by a base station, or capability information about a second terminal of a proximity service, wherein the service profile information is determined according to a service type of the first service and a mapping relation between a service type of a service and service profile information about the service, and wherein the mapping relation comprises at least one piece of service profile information corresponding to each service type, or at least one service type corresponding to each piece of service profile information;
• and
• determine a transmission mode according to the information.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions, which when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:

• acquire information comprising service profile information about a first service from an upper layer of a first terminal or an application layer of the first terminal and at least one of:
• access layer information about the first terminal, transmission parameter information configured for the first terminal by a base station, or capability information about a second terminal of a proximity service, wherein the service profile information is determined according to a service type of the first service and a mapping relation between a service type of a service and service profile information about the service, and wherein the mapping relation comprises at least one piece of service profile information corresponding to each service type, or at least one service type corresponding to each piece of service profile information;
• and
• determine a transmission mode according to the information.
