Abstract
A display device includes a first substrate including a display area and a non-display area, a display element disposed on the first substrate in the display area, a first sealing portion disposed on the first substrate in the non-display area, a second substrate facing the first substrate in a thickness direction, a hole defined through the first substrate and the second substrate along the thickness direction in the display area, and a second sealing portion disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and enclosing the hole.
Claims21
A display device, comprising:
- a first substrate comprising a display area and a non-display area;
- a display element disposed on the display area of the first substrate, the display element comprising a light emitting layer;
- a first sealing portion disposed on the non-display area of the first substrate;
- a second substrate facing the first substrate in a first direction;
- a hole defined through the first substrate and the second substrate along the first direction in the display area;
- and
- a second sealing portion disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and enclosing the hole,
- wherein:
- the first substrate further comprises a dummy area located between the first sealing portion and the second sealing portion, and
- the dummy area extends from the first sealing portion to the second sealing portion in a cross-sectional view, and the light emitting layer of the display element is not disposed in the dummy area, above the dummy area, or below the dummy area.
