Abstract
A wireless device generates a first transport block (TB) in response to receiving a first downlink control information (DCI). The first DCI indicates: a hybrid retransmission request (HARQ) identifier; and a new data identifier (NDI). In response to not detecting a second DCI during a validation duration: the first DCI is invalidated; and transmission of the first TB is dropped. In response to receiving a third DCI indicating a same value of the HARQ identifier, uplink signals are transmitted. The uplink signals comprise, based on the NDI, one of: an adaptive-retransmission of the first TB; or a new transmission of a second TB.
Claims18
A method performed by a base station, comprising:
- transmitting a first downlink control information (DCI) configured to be triggered in response to a second DCI, the first DCI indicating:
- a hybrid retransmission request (HARQ) identifier;
- and
- a new data identifier (NDI);
- wherein the first DCI is configured to be invalidated when the wireless device does not detect a second DCI during the validation duration;
- wherein the first DCI is configured to drop a first transport blocks (TBs) when a wireless device create a first TBs in response to the first DCI and does not detect a second DCI during the validation duration;
- transmitting a third DCI indicating a same value of the HARQ identifier;
- and
- receiving uplink signals in response to the third DCI, wherein the wireless device employs the NDI to determine an adaptive-retransmission of the one or more first TBs or a new transmission of one or more second TBs.
A method performed by a base station, comprising:
- transmitting a first downlink control information (DCI) configured to be triggered in response to a second DCI,
- wherein the first DCI is configured to be invalidated when the wireless device does not detect a second DCI during the validation duration;
- wherein the first DCI is configured to drop one or more first transport blocks (TBs) when a medium access control (MAC) entity of a wireless device creates the one or more first TBs in response to the first DCI and does not detect a second DCI during the validation duration;
- wherein the MAC entity considers that the transmission of the one or more first TBs to have been performed anyway.
