At least the first major surfaces of the first and second abrasive elements comprise a plurality of precisely shaped features. The abrasive elements comprise substantially inorganic, monolithic structures.
Claims5
An abrasive article comprising:
- a first abrasive element, a first resilient element, and a first fastening element;
- a second abrasive element, a second resilient element, and a second fastening element;
- and
- a carrier, wherein the first resilient element and first fastening element are disposed between the first abrasive element and the carrier, and the first resilient element is disposed between the first abrasive element and the first fastening element, and wherein the second resilient element and second fastening element are disposed between the second abrasive element and the carrier, and the second resilient element is disposed between the second abrasive element and the second fastening element;
- wherein the first and second abrasive elements are disposed on the carrier as spaced-apart, discrete elements;
- wherein the first and second abrasive elements each comprises a first major surface and a second major surface;
- wherein at least the first major surfaces of the first and second abrasive elements comprise a plurality of precisely shaped features;
- wherein the abrasive elements comprise substantially inorganic, monolithic structures;
- and
- wherein the first and second resilient elements are locked in a compressed position through the first and second fastening elements, respectively.
