Abstract
A medication injection method where a dose set knob of a medication injection pen is rotated with respect to the housing of the medication injection pen during dose setting and dose correcting, a driver is selectively engages with the dose set knob, the driver being rotatably fixed with respect to the housing during dose setting and dose correcting, the driver is moved axially with the dose set knob during the dose setting and the dose correcting, and the driver is rotated with the dose set knob during an injection.
Claims16
A medication injection method, comprising:
- selectively rotating a dose set knob of a medication injection pen with respect to a housing of the medication injections pen for selectively dose setting and dose correcting;
- selectively engaging a driver with the dose set knob, the driver rotatably fixed with respect to the housing during the dose setting and the dose correcting;
- moving the driver axially with the dose set knob during the dose setting and the dose correcting;
- and
- rotating the driver with the dose set knob during an injection.
A medication injection method, comprising:
- selectively rotating a dose set knob of a medication injection pen with respect to a housing of the medication injection pen for dose setting and dose correcting;
- selectively connecting a piston rod of the medication injection pen to the dose set knob, the dose set knob being rotatably fixed to the housing;
- and
- rotating the dose set knob to cause the piston rod to axially move during an injection.
