Abstract
The present invention provides wound healing compounds, compositions thereof, and methods of treatment using the same.
Claims19
A method for treating a burn or wound in a patient in need thereof, wherein said method comprises administering to said patient a formulation consisting of:
- (a) palmitic acid and behenic acid;
- and (b) mineral oil, wherein the palmitic acid is in an amount of about 6 to about 18% by weight of the formulation and the behenic acid is in an amount of about 1 to about 7% by weight of the formulation.
A method for treating nerve damage caused by a burn or wound in a patient in need thereof, wherein said method comprises administering to said patient a formulation consisting of:
- (a) palmitic acid and behenic acid;
- and (b) mineral oil, wherein the palmitic acid is in an amount of about 6 to about 18% by weight of the formulation and the behenic acid is in an amount of about 1 to about 7% by weight of the formulation.
