Abstract
A novel maize variety designated PH4CYJ and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant comprise crossing maize variety PH4CYJ with another maize plant are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into PH4CYJ through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are provided. Hybrid maize seed, plants or plant parts are produced by crossing the variety PH4CYJ or a locus conversion of PH4CYJ with another maize variety.
Claims20
A seed, plant, plant part, or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH4CYJ, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202212062.
A converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH4CYJ, representative seed of the maize variety PH4CYJ having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202212062, wherein the converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell comprises a locus conversion, and wherein the plant or a plant grown from the converted seed, plant part or plant cell comprises the locus conversion and otherwise comprises all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety PH4CYJ when grown under the same environmental conditions.
An F1 hybrid seed of PH4CYJ produced by crossing a plant or plant part of inbred maize variety PH4CYJ further comprising a transgene, representative seed of the inbred maize variety PH4CYJ having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202212062 with a different maize plant, wherein the transgene is inherited by the F1 hybrid seed, wherein the transgene was introduced into inbred maize variety PH4CYJ by backcrossing or genetic transformation.
