Method and system for post-construction check-out processing

A computer program product tangibly embodied in a computer-readable storage device and comprising a set of instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform a method, the method comprising:

• capturing, by a receiver coupled to the processor, a transmit sent in a downlink in a cell sector;
• determining, by a location service coupled to the processor, positional information during the capture of at least one downlink transmit in the cell sector;
• analyzing, by testing software, the positional information and the downlink transmit to identify a cell site by computation of a directional angle derived from the downlink transmit;
• and
• performing a first radio operation test by operating a radio at the cell site at a minimal radio frequency to transmit a range of specified frequencies, wherein the first radio operation test validates a measurement of a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of radio transmissions in a specified frequency.

An apparatus to validate radio operations at a post-construction cell site, comprising:

• a processor configured to execute testing software to validate the radio operations;
• a receiver coupled to the processer and configured to capture a transmit sent in a radio downlink in a cell sector;
• a location service connected to the processor and configured to determine positional information during the capture of the transmit;
• wherein the processor executes the testing software to analyze the positional information and transmit to identify the cell site by computation of directional angles derived from the transmit;
• wherein the processor is configured to measure operation data related to a radio at the cell site;
• wherein the processor is configured to perform a first radio operation test by operating the radio at the cell site at a minimal radio frequency to transmit a range of specified frequencies;
• and
• wherein the first radio operation test validates a measurement of a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of the transmit in a specified frequency.
