Abstract
A method of determining a confidence level associated with a device using heuristics of trust includes receiving, by an evaluating device, at least a communication from a first remote device, determining, by the evaluating device, an identity of the first remote device as a function of the at least a communication, calculating, by the evaluating device, at least a heuristic of trust as a function of the at least a communication and the identity, assigning, by the evaluating device, a first confidence level to the first remote device as a function of the at least a heuristic of trust, and assigning, by the evaluating device, an access right as a function of the first confidence level.
Claims23
A method of determining a confidence level associated with a device, the method comprising:
- receiving, by an evaluating device, at least a communication from a first remote device, wherein the communication comprises at least a transaction;
- determining, by the evaluating device, an identity of the first remote device as a function of the at least a communication, wherein determining the identity of the first remote device further comprises:
- receiving a secure proof from the first remote device;
- determining the identity of the first remote device as a function of the secure proof, wherein the secure proof is generated by a secure computing module of the first remote device, and wherein the secure computing module comprises a trusted platform module configured to determine at least a first confidence level and authenticate at least a digitally signed assertion;
- and
- fingerprinting the first remote device as a function of at least a field parameter of the at least a communication;
- comparing, by the evaluating device, the identity from the first remote device to the at least a digitally signed assertion incorporated in a temporally sequential listing, wherein the evaluating device implements an attested boot protocol (secure boot);
- calculating, by the evaluating device, at least a heuristic of trust as a function of the at least a communication and the identity, wherein calculating the at least a heuristic of trust comprises evaluating an exchange of value in the transaction to which the first remote device is a party and comparing the exchange of value to a threshold of freshness, wherein the threshold of freshness includes a recency of interaction of the first remote device;
- assigning, by the evaluating device, the first confidence level to the first remote device as a function of the at least a heuristic of trust;
- and
- assigning, by the evaluating device, an access right as a function of the first confidence level.
A system for determining a confidence level associated with a device, the system including:
- an evaluating device communicatively connected to a network, the evaluating device including at least a microprocessor designed and configured to receive at least a communication, which comprises at least a transaction, from a first remote device, determine an identity of the first remote device as a function of the at least a communication, wherein determining the identity of the first remote device further comprises:
- receiving a secure proof from the first remote device;
- determining the identify of the first remote device as a function of the secure proof, wherein the secure proof is generated by a secure computing module of the first remote device, and wherein the secure computing module comprises a trusted platform module configured to determine at least a first confidence level and authenticate at least a digitally signed assertion;
- and fingerprinting the first remote device as a function of at least a field parameter of the at least a communication, compare the identity from the first remote device to the at least a digitally signed assertion incorporated in a temporally sequential listing, wherein the evaluating device implements an attested boot protocol;
- calculate at least a heuristic of trust as a function of the at least a communication and the identity, assign the first confidence level to the first remote device as a function of the at least a heuristic of trust, and assign an access right as a function of the first confidence level;
- wherein calculating the at least a heuristic of trust comprises evaluating an exchange of value in the transaction to which the first remote device is a party and comparing the exchange of value to a threshold of freshness, wherein the threshold of freshness includes a recency of interaction of the first remote device.
