Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication that a high Doppler configuration is activated. The UE may detect, based at least in part on receiving the indication that the high Doppler configuration is activated, a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) for a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) communication. The PTRS may be configured by the high Doppler configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.

A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- receiving an indication that a high Doppler configuration is activated;
- and
- detecting, based at least in part on receiving the indication that the high Doppler configuration is activated, a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) for a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) communication,
- wherein the PTRS is configured by the high Doppler configuration.
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the one or more processors configured to:
- receive an indication that a high Doppler configuration is activated;
- and
- detect, based at least in part on receiving the indication that the high Doppler configuration is activated, a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) for a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) communication,
- wherein the PTRS is configured by the high Doppler configuration.
A method of wireless communication performed by a base station (BS), comprising:
- transmitting an indication that a high Doppler configuration is activated;
- and
- transmitting a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS), configured by the high Doppler configuration, for a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) communication.
A base station (BS) for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the one or more processors configured to:
- transmit an indication that a high Doppler configuration is activated;
- and
- transmit a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS), configured by the high Doppler configuration, for a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) communication.
