A method of providing video conference calendar integration, comprising:
- receiving, at a meeting server, via a meeting server application program interface (API), meeting details from a calendar software client plugin, the meeting details regarding a meeting scheduled by a host using a calendar software client associated with the calendar software client plugin, the meeting details including a list of invitees and a starting time for the meeting;
- at a time matching the starting time for the meeting, initiating a video conference for the one or more actual attendees, the one or more actual attendees being potential attendee who have initiated a request to join the meeting, the initiating the video conference including causing rendering of a first user interface screen on a client device of each of the one or more actual attendees, the first user interface screen comprising a first portion displaying a list of all potential attendees, including one or more potential attendees who have not initiated a request to join the meeting, and a second portion displaying content of the meeting;
- and
- after a predetermined period of time, altering the first portion so that only actual attendees, including any potential attendees who did not initiate a request to join the meeting by the starting time of the meeting but who have since initiated a request to join the meeting, are displayed.
A system comprising:
- at least one hardware processor;
- and
- a computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one hardware processor, cause the at least one hardware processor to perform operations comprising:
- receiving, at a meeting server, via a meeting server application program interface (API), meeting details from a calendar software client plugin, the meeting details regarding a meeting scheduled by a host using a calendar software client associated with the calendar software client plugin, the meeting details including a list of invitees and a starting time for the meeting;
- at a time matching the starting time for the meeting, initiating a video conference for the one or more actual attendees, the one or more actual attendees being potential attendee who have initiated a request to join the meeting, the initiating the video conference including causing rendering of a first user interface screen on a client device of each of the one or more actual attendees, the first user interface screen comprising a first portion displaying a list of all potential attendees, including one or more potential attendees who have not initiated a request to join the meeting, and a second portion displaying content of the meeting;
- and
- after a predetermined period of time, altering the first portion so that only actual attendees, including any potential attendees who did not initiate a request to join the meeting by the starting time of the meeting but who have since initiated a request to join the meeting, are displayed.
A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium comprising instructions, which when implemented by one or more machines, cause the one or more machines to perform operations comprising:
- receiving, at a meeting server, via a meeting server application program interface (API), meeting details from a calendar software client plugin, the meeting details regarding a meeting scheduled by a host using a calendar software client associated with the calendar software client plugin, the meeting details including a list of invitees and a starting time for the meeting;
- at a time matching the starting time for the meeting, initiating a video conference for the one or more actual attendees, the one or more actual attendees being potential attendee who have initiated a request to join the meeting, the initiating the video conference including causing rendering of a first user interface screen on a client device of each of the one or more actual attendees, the first user interface screen comprising a first portion displaying a list of all potential attendees, including one or more potential attendees who have not initiated a request to join the meeting, and a second portion displaying content of the meeting;
- and
- after a predetermined period of time, altering the first portion so that only actual attendees, including any potential attendees who did not initiate a request to join the meeting by the starting time of the meeting but who have since initiated a request to join the meeting, are displayed.
