Injecting exchange items into an exchange item marketplace network

A marketplace server of an exchange item marketplace network comprises:

• memory;
• an interface;
• and
• a processing module operably coupled to the memory and the interface, wherein the processing module is operable to:
• monitor exchange item transactions occurring in the exchange item marketplace network, wherein the exchange item marketplace network facilitates the transactions associated with exchange items;
• generate trend information based on the monitored exchange item transactions, wherein the trend information includes sell information associated with a plurality of seller computing devices and buy information associated with a plurality of buyer computing devices;
• determine attributes for a targeted marketing program based on the trend information, wherein a value of a first attribute of the attributes is selected when a first portion of the trend information exceeds a corresponding trend threshold;
• identify, based on the attributes of the targeted marketing program, a subset of buyer computing devices from the plurality of buyer computing devices;
• generate offer information based on the target marketing program;
• send, via the interface, the offer information to the subset of buyer computing devices;
• when receiving, via the interface, a purchase request from a buyer computing device of the subset of buyer computing devices in accordance with the offer information:
• generate an exchange item request regarding an exchange item in accordance with the offer information;
• send, via the interface, the exchange item request to a branded server associated with the exchange item;
• receive, via the interface from the branded server, offer exchange item information regarding the exchange item request;
• and
• send, via the interface, at least a portion of the offer exchange item information to the buyer computing device, wherein the at least the portion of the offer exchange item information allows the buyer computing device to utilize the exchange item.
