Abstract
A display device is provided and includes touch panel including first substrate, detection electrodes located in a detection area on first substrate, and outer peripheral lines provided in peripheral area on first substrate and electrically connected to detection electrodes; display panel overlapping touch panel in plan view; insulating layer covering detection electrodes and having surface facing display panel; protection film overlapping outer peripheral lines and provided on surface of insulating layer; polarizer disposed between insulating layer and display panel; and insulating material contacting surface of insulating layer between protection film and polarizer, side surface of protection film and side surface of polarizer, and not directly contacting detection electrodes.
Claims12
A display device comprising
- a touch panel comprising a first substrate, a plurality of detection electrodes located in a detection area on the first substrate, and outer peripheral lines provided in a peripheral area on the first substrate and electrically connected to the detection electrodes;
- a display panel overlapping the touch panel in a plan view;
- an insulating layer covering the detection electrodes and having a surface facing the display panel;
- a protection film overlapping the outer peripheral lines and provided on the surface of the insulating layer;
- a polarizer disposed between the insulating layer and the display panel;
- and
- an insulating material contacting the surface of the insulating layer between the protection film and the polarizer, a side surface of the protection film and a side surface of the polarizer, and not directly contacting the detection electrodes.
