Abstract
An application processor includes an application processor including a first processor configured to generate a control signal based on whether user data is changed, wherein the application processor is configured to implement a power manager which dynamically controls power provided to the first processor, in response to the control signal.
Claims24
An application processor comprising:
- a central processing unit (CPU) configured to generate a control signal based on determining whether there is change in data causing user experience (DCUE), wherein the DCUE is information or data which is provided to a user directly or through a computing apparatus such that the user can see, hear, or feel based on the information or data,
- wherein the application processor is configured to operate the CPU according to dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) to meet a frequency needed to process a task, based on the control signal indicating that the DCUE is changed during a predetermined period;
- and
- wherein the application processor is configured to operate the CPU with a predetermined minimum frequency based on the control signal indicating that the DCUE is unchanged during the predetermined period.

An application processor comprising:
- a central processing unit (CPU) configured to generate a control signal based on determining whether there is change in data causing user experience (DCUE), wherein the DCUE is information or data which is provided to a user directly or through a computing apparatus such that the user can see, hear, or feel based on the information or data,
- wherein, if the control signal indicates that the DCUE is changed during a predetermined period, the application processor is configured to operate the CPU according to dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) until an operating frequency of CPU is same as a predetermined minimum frequency to process a task, and the CPU is configured to operate with the predetermined minimum frequency afterwards until another change in the DCUE occurs.
A system on chip comprising:
- a memory configured to store instructions;
- and
- a central processing unit (CPU) configured to execute the instructions to:
- generate a control signal indicating whether data causing user experience (DCUE) is changed;
- dynamically adjust, via a DVFS controller, a frequency of the CPU to process a task corresponding to the DCUE based on the control signal;
- control an execution interval of the task corresponding to the DCUE, based on the control signal,
- wherein the DCUE is information or data which is provided to a user directly or through a computing apparatus such that the user can see, hear, or feel based on the information or data.
