Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for screening an inhibitor of ATP11C or CDC50A, comprising determining (a) exposure of phosphatidylserine on cell surface, (b) engulfment of cells by macrophages, or (c) cleavage of ATP11C by caspase. The present invention also relates to a method for inducing engulfment of cells by macrophages, comprising inhibiting ATP11C or CDC50A.
Claims3
A method for screening an inhibitor of ATP11C or CDC50A, comprising:
- (a) treating tumor cells that have been transfected with an ATP11C gene and a CDC50A gene and express ATP11C and CDC50A with a candidate for said inhibitor, and
- (b) determining engulfment of the tumor cells by macrophages,
- wherein the candidate is selected as an inhibitor of ATP11C or CDC50A when the engulfment of the tumor cells by macrophages is increased by the treatment with the candidate compared to a control.
