Abstract
An archery assembly and method are disclosed herein. The archery assembly, in an embodiment, includes a coupler configured to be coupled to a riser of an archery bow. At least part of the coupler is configured to be positioned behind a rear surface of the riser. The archery assembly also includes a device configured to be coupled to the coupler. The coupler and the device are configured to cooperate so that the device is adjustably moveable relative to the coupler, and such movement occurs along a vertical axis.
Claims83
An archery assembly comprising:
- a coupler comprising a riser mounting portion that is configured to be positioned behind a rear surface of a riser of an archery bow, the rear surface facing away from a shooting target when the archery bow is aimed at the shooting target, wherein:
- the riser mounting portion is configured to be secured to the rear surface;
- and
- the securing of the riser mounting portion to the rear surface is based, at least partially, on a force caused by at least one fastener that is coupled to the coupler;
- the coupler, when vertically oriented, extends at least partially along a vertical axis;
- a device configured to be coupled to the coupler, wherein:
- the coupler and the device are configured to cooperate so that the device is adjustably moveable to comprise a movement relative to the coupler;
- and
- the movement occurs along the vertical axis;
- and
- a projectile support configured to be coupled to the device,
- wherein, when the device is coupled to the coupler and the projectile support is coupled to the device, the coupler is configured to be coupled to the riser based, at least in part, on the securing of the riser mounting portion to the rear surface of the riser.
An archery assembly comprising:
- a coupler comprising a portion that is configured to be positioned behind a rear surface of a riser of an archery bow, the rear surface facing away from a shooting target when the archery bow is aimed at the shooting target, wherein:
- the portion comprises a dovetail shape, and the portion is configured to:
- (a) at least partially contact the rear surface;
- and (b) be secured to the rear surface;
- and
- the coupler, when vertically oriented, extends at least partially along a vertical axis;
- and
- a device configured to be coupled to the coupler, wherein:
- the device is adjustably moveable to comprise a movement relative to the coupler;
- and
- the movement occurs along the vertical axis,
- wherein the coupler is configured to be coupled to the riser due, at least in part, to the securing of the portion to the rear surface of the riser.
A method for manufacturing an archery assembly, the method comprising:
- configuring a coupler, wherein the configuring of the coupler comprises:
- configuring the coupler to be positioned behind a rear surface of a riser of an archery bow, the rear surface facing away from a shooting target when the archery bow is aimed at the shooting target,
- configuring the coupler so that, when the coupler is vertically oriented, the coupler extends at least partially along a vertical axis;
- configuring a portion of the coupler to:
- define a dovetail shape;
- at least partially contact the rear surface;
- and
- be secured to the rear surface;
- and
- configuring the coupler to be coupled to the riser due, at least in part, to the securing of the portion to the rear surface of the riser;
- and
- configuring a device to be coupled to the coupler so that the coupler and the device are configured to cooperate so that the device is adjustably moveable to comprise a movement relative to the coupler, wherein the movement occurs along the vertical axis.
