Abstract
Example embodiments relate to a method of protecting a surface of an e-vaping device portion from corrosion, the method including preparing a coating mixture configured to protect the surface from corrosion, and coating the surface with a protective coating based on the coating mixture, wherein the coating is performed via one of electrodeposition, dipping, spraying, and vapor deposition, and the coating mixture includes at least one of a silane and a resin.

A method of protecting an inside surface of an e-vaping device portion from corrosion, the method comprising:
- preparing a coating mixture configured to protect the inside surface from corrosion and a pre-vapor formulation and including a dispersion mixture including a cationic polymer dissolved in a water dispersion that includes about 30% to about 40% of particulate dispersion, the particulate dispersion further including solid polymer particles;
- and
- coating the inside surface with a permanent protective coating based on the coating mixture;
- the coating being performed via electrodeposition;
- and
- the coating mixture including a silane, a resin, or both.
