Abstract
Disclosed is a composition for ameliorating, preventing or treating an autoimmune skin disease, containing a super pink (Dianthus superbus L.) extract as an active ingredient.
Claims6
A method for ameliorating or treating a psoriasis of a subject in need thereof, wherein the method consists essentially of administering an effective amount of Dianthus superbus L. extract to the subject;
- wherein the Dianthus superbus L. extract is a methanol extract;
- wherein the Dianthus superbus L. extract is an extract of the above-ground portion of Dianthus superbus L., and
- wherein the Dianthus superbus L. extract ameliorates or treats psoriasis by inhibiting at least one inflammatory cytokine selected from the group consisting of IL-1βB, IL-23p19, TNF-α, CCL20, CXCL8, S100A7, S100A8, and S100A9.
