Abstract
The present invention relates to a microneedle system (MNS) for the intradermal delivery of interferon, wherein polyvinylpyrrolidone is the major constituent of a completely soluble formulation.

A microneedle array comprising interferon and a completely soluble formulation and the formulation comprises
- more than 35 wt % of polyvinylpyrrolidone with polyvinylpyrrolidone being present in the formulation in the greatest amount compared to the other ingredients,
- more than 25 wt. % of disaccharide,
- non-ionic surfactants, and
- polyalcohol.
