Extension of data transmission from uplink regular burst (ULRB) to uplink common burst (ULCB)

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• means for receiving a configuration of reserved resources;
• means for receiving a grant assigning resources for a data transmission in a first portion of a slot;
• means for determining an availability of resources in a second portion of the slot based on whether an extension of the data transmission from the first portion of the slot into the second portion of the slot would overlap reserved resources indicated by the configuration of reserved resources;
• means for determining whether to extend the data transmission into the second portion of the slot based on the determined availability of resources;
• and
• means for sending the data transmission in portions of the slot based on a result of determining whether to extend the data transmission.

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• a memory;
• at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to:
• receive a configuration of reserved resources,
• receive a grant assigning resources for a data transmission in a first portion of a slot,
• determine an availability of resources in a second portion of the slot based on whether an extension of the data transmission from the first portion of the slot into the second portion of the slot would overlap reserved resources indicated by the configuration of reserved resources, and
• determine whether to extend the data transmission into the second portion of the slot based on the determined availability of resources;
• and
• a transmitter coupled to the memory and the at least one processor, the transmitter being configured to transmit the data transmission in the slot based on a result of determining whether to extend the data transmission.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer executable code for wireless communication at a user equipment, comprising the code when executed by at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to:

• receive a configuration of reserved resources;
• receive a grant assigning resources for a data transmission in a first portion of a slot;
• determine an availability of resources in a second portion of the slot based on whether an extension of the data transmission from the first portion of the slot into the second portion of the slot would overlap reserved resources indicated by the configuration of reserved resources;
• determine whether to extend the data transmission into the second portion of the slot based on the determined availability of resources;
• and
• transmit the data transmission based on a result of determining whether to extend the data transmission.

A method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• receiving a configuration of reserved resources;
• receiving a grant assigning resources for a data transmission in a first portion of a slot;
• determining whether to extend the data transmission into a second portion of the slot based on an availability of resources in the second portion of the slot, wherein the availability of resources in the second portion of the slot is based on whether an extension of the data transmission from the first portion of the slot into the second portion of the slot would overlap reserved resources indicated by the configuration of reserved resources;
• and
• sending the data transmission in the slot based on a result of determining whether to extend the data transmission.

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• a memory;
• at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to:
• receive a configuration of reserved resources,
• receive a grant assigning resources for a data transmission in a first portion of a slot, and
• determine whether to extend the data transmission into a second portion of the slot based on an availability of resources in the second portion of the slot, wherein the availability of resources in the second portion of the slot is based on whether an extension of the data transmission from the first portion of the slot into the second portion of the slot would overlap reserved resources indicated by the configuration of reserved resources;
• and
• a transmitter coupled to the memory and the at least one processor, the transmitter being configured to transmit the data transmission in the slot based on a result of determining whether to extend the data transmission.
