Abstract
A foldable device includes: a display; a touch panel configured to detect a touch input; a sensing interface configured to detect an angle of the foldable device; and a controller configured to activate the display unit when the angle detected by the sensing unit as the foldable device is unfolded is equal to or greater than a first angle, and activate the touch panel when the angle detected by the sensing unit is equal to or greater than a second angle.
Claims6
An electronic device comprising:
- a housing;
- a flexible display configured to be unrolled from within an interior space of the housing;
- a first sensor configured to detect the flexible display unrolled by a user;
- a second sensor configured to detect biometric information of the user;
- at least one processor configured to:
- authenticate the user based on the biometric information detected by the second sensor based on detecting the flexible display unrolled by the user by the first sensor, the biometric information being detected while the flexible display is being unrolled;
- and
- control the flexible display to provide an unlocked screen based on authenticating the user,
- wherein the second sensor is exposed on a surface that is pulled to unroll the flexible display from the housing, said surface facing a same direction as a display surface of the flexible display when the flexible display is in an unrolled state.
