Monitoring system and method for charging multiple battery packs in an electric aircraft

A method for a monitoring system for charging multiple battery packs in an electric aircraft, the method comprising:

• coupling a plurality of battery submodules to the electric aircraft;
• comprising, at each battery submodule of the plurality of battery submodules, a battery management component comprising a sensor configured to detect an altitude value and a health metric;
• electrically connecting a power bus element, comprising at least a ring bus, to the electric aircraft wherein the bus element is electrically connected to each battery submodule of the plurality of battery submodules;
• commutatively connecting, at the plurality of battery submodules, a computing device to each battery submodule;
• receiving, at the computing device, the health metric from the sensor;
• determining, at the computing device, a charging status of each of the plurality of battery submodules as a function of the health metric, wherein a charge capacity value of the health metric is compared to a charge threshold value;
• displaying, at the computing device, the charging status for each of the plurality of battery submodules to the user using a stereoscopic display;
• selectively charging, at the computing device, each of the plurality of battery submodules using the power bus element as a function of the determined charging status for each battery submodule of the plurality of battery submodules, wherein the battery submodules are charged by the power bus element when the charge capacity value does not surpass the charge threshold value;
• and
• periodically performing, by the computing device, a charge-and-update process, wherein the charge-and-update process includes generating updated charge capacity values for at least one cell in the given battery submodule.
