Abstract
An interface receives procurement data, the procurement data comprising data received from a home automation device. A processor applies forecast development rules to the procurement data. The processor determines an electricity procurement recommendation, the electricity procurement recommendation based on the analyzed energy usage data and the forecast development rules. Upon a determination of the electricity procurement recommendation, the interface communicates the electricity procurement recommendation to a retail electricity provider.

A system, comprising:
- an interface configured to receive:
- analyzed energy usage data, the analyzed energy usage data including information associated with one or more electric devices determined by one or more home automation devices;
- and
- procurement data including data received from the one or more home automation devices;
- and
- a processor configured to automatically:
- apply service recommendation rules to the analyzed energy usage data;
- apply forecast development rules to the procurement data;
- determine a service recommendation based on the analyzed energy usage data and the service recommendation rules;
- and
- in response to determining the service recommendation, the interface configured to:
- determine whether to communicate the service recommendation to a user device;
- in response to determining to communicate the service recommendation to the user device, communicate the service recommendation via a communications network to the user device to cause the user device to prompt a user to accept or decline the service recommendation via the user device;
- receive a response from the user to accept the service recommendation via communication signals from the user device and via the communications network;
- and
- communicate a request to a device associated with a service provider in response to the user accepting the service recommendation, the communicated request including a request to perform an action including at least one of:
- repair of the one or more electric devices;
- and
- repair of the one or more home automation devices;
- and
- facilitate the performance of the action of the communicated request to control at least one of the one or more home automation devices, the communicated request based at least on the received response to the service recommendation.

A method, comprising:
- receiving analyzed energy usage data, the analyzed energy usage data including information associated with one or more electric devices determined by one or more home automation devices;
- receiving procurement data including data received from the one or more home automation devices;
- automatically applying, by a processor, service recommendation rules to the analyzed energy usage data;
- automatically applying forecast development rules to the procurement data;
- automatically determining, by the processor, a service recommendation based on the analyzed energy usage data and the service recommendation rules;
- automatically determining, by the processor, whether to communicate the service recommendation to a user device;
- in response to determining to communicate the service recommendation to the user device, communicating the service recommendation to the user device via a communications network to cause the user device to prompt a user to accept or decline the service recommendation via the user device;
- receiving a response from the user to accept the service recommendation via communication signals from the user device and via the communications network;
- communicating a request to a device associated with a service provider in response to the user accepting the service recommendation, the communicated request including a request to perform an action including at least one of:
- repair of the one or more electric devices;
- and
- repair of the one or more home automation devices;
- and
- facilitating the performance of the action of the communicated request to control at least one of the one or more home automation devices, the communicated request based at least on the received response to the service recommendation.

The method of claim of 9, wherein the service recommendation rules include at least one of:
- comparing current energy usage data with historical data, other user data, weather pattern data, or other data source;
- and
- determining whether data submitted by a technician or entity associated with the technician is indicative of additional repair or upgrade of another home device or any other suitable electrical component or appliance in the user's home or other suitable data.
