Abstract
A method to encode and decode a digital fingerprint code by an identification encoder and an identification decoder wherein the digital fingerprint code includes a plurality of N-bit data embedded on a set of curves by changed thicknesses in the curves.

A decorative workpiece comprising:
- an inkjet printed wood pattern including an identification code to track-and-trace the decorative workpiece;
- wherein
- the identification code is invisible with a human eye at a viewing distance larger than 20 centimeters, and
- wherein the decorative workpiece includes a thermosetting resin and wood based core layer.
