Abstract
A gutter guard for filtering water that enters a rain gutter on a building, the gutter guard having a barrier member configured to be positioned above a lowest portion of the rain gutter and having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water. The barrier member having first members that extend along a first direction; second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction; a third member made of an ion-dispersing material; and a protrusion extending from the barrier member.
Claims21
A gutter guard for filtering water that enters a rain gutter on a building, the gutter guard comprising:
- a barrier member configured to be positioned above a lowest portion of the rain gutter and having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water, the barrier member having
- first members that extend along a first direction;
- second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction;
- and
- a protrusion extending from the barrier member,
- wherein the protrusion includes a periodic break, and
- the protrusion is configured to divert a flow of the water toward the periodic break.
A gutter guard for filtering water that enters a rain gutter on a building, the gutter guard comprising:
- a barrier member configured to be positioned above a lowest portion of the rain gutter and having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water, the barrier member having
- first members that extend along a first direction, and
- second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction;
- and
- a lower member positioned below the barrier member, the lower member having a protrusion that extends toward the barrier member,
- wherein the protrusion does not contact the barrier member.
A filtration device, comprising:
- a barrier member having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water, the barrier member having
- first members that extend along a first direction;
- second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction;
- and
- a protrusion extending from the barrier member,
- wherein the protrusion is includes a periodic break, and
- the protrusion configured to divert a flow of the water toward the periodic break.
A filtration device, comprising:
- a barrier member having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water, the barrier member having
- first members that extend along a first direction, and
- second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction;
- and
- a lower member positioned below the barrier member, the lower member having a protrusion that extends toward the barrier member,
- wherein the protrusion does not contact the barrier member.
