Abstract
An example operation includes one or more of determining, via a transport, a state of charge of a storage unit of the transport, determining, via the transport, an environment at a location, determining, via the transport, a status of a charging station at the location including at least one of a location energy cost and a location power level and providing, via the transport, a needed amount of energy to the charging station at the location based on the status of the charging station.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- identifying, via a transport, an environment at a location;
- determining, via the transport, a status of a charging station at the location including at least one of a location energy cost and a location power level, and a needed amount of energy required by the charging station;
- identifying, via the charging station, that the transport among a group of transports is capable of providing energy to the charging station based on an estimated amount of energy in each of the transports within the group of transports;
- selecting, via the charging station, the transport, among the group of transports, to provide the energy based on an estimated time the transport will spend discharging at the charging station to provide the needed amount of energy, wherein the estimated time is based on a state of charge of the transport and a type of transport;
- and
- providing, via the transport, the needed amount of energy to the charging station at the location based on the status of the charging station.
An apparatus, comprising:
- a charging station at a location that is configured to receive energy from a storage unit of a transport;
- wherein the transport is configured to
- determine an environment at a location;
- determine a status of the charging station at the location including at least one of a location energy cost and a location power level, and a needed amount of energy required by the charging station
- wherein the charging station identifies that the transport among a group of transports is capable of providing energy to the charging station based on an estimated amount of energy in each of the transport within the group of transports;
- wherein the charging station selects the transport, among the group of transports, to provide the energy based on an estimated time the transport will spend discharging at the charging station to provide the needed amount of energy, wherein the estimated time is based on a state of charge of the transport and a type of transport;
- and
- provide, via the transport, a needed amount of energy to the charging station at the location based on the status of the charging station.
A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions, that when read by a processor, cause the processor to perform:
- identifying, via a transport, an environment at a location;
- determining, via the transport, a status of a charging station at the location including at least one of a location energy cost and a location power level, and a needed amount of energy required by the charging station;
- identifying, via the charging station, that the transport among a group of transports is capable of providing energy to the charging station based on an estimated amount of energy in each of the transports within the group of transports;
- selecting, via the charging station, the transport, among the group of transports, to provide the energy based on an estimated time the transport will spend discharging at the charging station to provide the needed amount of energy, wherein the estimated time is based on a state of charge of the transport and a type of transport;
- and
- providing, via the transport, the needed amount of energy to the charging station at the location based on the status of the charging station.
