Claims17
A parison for being blow molded into a medical balloon for a catheter, the medical balloon when inflated having a working surface corresponding to a cylindrical barrel section of the medical balloon, comprising:
- a first tubular layer having a functional modification that is visible to indicate a location of the working surface corresponding to the cylindrical barrel section of the medical balloon when inflated;
- and
- a second tubular layer adapted for bonding with the first tubular layer to form the blow molded medical balloon;
- wherein the first tubular layer is spaced from the second tubular layer.
A method of manufacturing an at least partially radiopaque balloon, comprising:
- blow molding a first layer of a material having a functional modification and a second layer of material together to form the balloon;
- wherein the blow molding step comprises providing the first layer along an outer surface of the second layer.
A method of manufacturing an at least partially radiopaque balloon, comprising:
- blow molding a first layer of a material having a functional modification and a second layer of material together to form the balloon, further including the step of providing the first layer of material that is shorter that the second layer of material in a longitudinal direction.
A parison for being blow molded into a medical balloon for a catheter, comprising:
- a first tubular layer having a functional modification;
- and
- a second tubular layer bonded with the first tubular layer to form the medical balloon via blow molding without an adhesive,
- wherein the first tubular layer is spaced from the second tubular layer.
