A method for treating or relieving a tumor, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of spermine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a patient in need of such treatment or relief;
- wherein the tumor is one having any property selected from the group consisting of high expression of oncogene myc, over expression of PAICS, and over-accumulation of SAICAR and the tumor is breast cancer or lung cancer.
