Abstract
A system and method for providing image guidance for placement of one or more medical devices at a target location. The system can be used to determine one or more affected regions corresponding to the operation of one or more medical devices and display at least a portion of the one or more affected regions. The affected regions can correspond to predicted affected regions and/or dynamic affected regions and can be based at least in part on a variance parameter of the medical device.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving first emplacement data in real time corresponding to a first medical device;
- receiving second emplacement data in real time corresponding to a second medical device;
- determining a real-time emplacement of the first medical device with respect to a real-time point-of-view location based at least in part on the first emplacement data;
- determining a real-time emplacement of the second medical device with respect to the real-time point-of-view location based at least in part on the second emplacement data;
- determining a first ablation volume based at least in part on first operating parameters associated with the first medical device and a first variance parameter;
- determining a second ablation volume based at least in part on second operating parameters associated with the second medical device and a second variance parameter;
- determining a third ablation volume based at least in part on a combination of the first ablation volume and the second ablation volume;
- and
- causing one or more displays to display:
- a real-time perspective view of at least a portion of a first virtual medical device that corresponds to the first medical device,
- a real-time perspective view of at least a portion of a second virtual medical device that corresponds to the second medical device, and
- a real-time perspective view of the third ablation volume.
A system, comprising:
- one or more processors communicatively coupled with one or more displays, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing computer-executable instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the one or more processors to:
- receive first emplacement data in real-time corresponding to a first medical device;
- receive second emplacement data in real time corresponding to a second medical device;
- determine a real-time emplacement of the first medical device with respect to a real-time point-of-view location based at least in part on the first emplacement data;
- determine a real-time emplacement of the second medical device with respect to the real-time point-of-view location based at least in part on the second emplacement data;
- determine a first ablation volume based at least in part on first operating parameters associated with the first medical device and a first variance parameter;
- determine a second ablation volume based at least in part on second operating parameters associated with the second medical device and a second variance parameter;
- and
- determine a third ablation volume based at least in part on a combination of the first ablation volume and the second ablation volume;
- cause one or more displays to display:
- a real-time perspective view of at least a portion of a first virtual medical device that corresponds to the first medical device,
- a real-time perspective view of at least a portion of a second virtual medical device that corresponds to the second medical device, and
- a real-time perspective view of the third ablation volume.
A computer-readable, non-transitory storage medium storing computer-executable instructions that when executed by one or more processors cause the one or more processors to:
- receive first emplacement data in real-time corresponding to a first medical device;
- receive second emplacement data in real time corresponding to a second medical device;
- determine a real time emplacement of the first medical device with respect to a real-time point-of-view location based at least in part on the first emplacement data;
- determine a real-time emplacement of the second medical device with respect to the real-time point-of-view location based at least in part on the second emplacement data;
- determine a first ablation volume based at least in part on first operating parameters associated with the first medical device and a first variance parameter;
- determine a second ablation volume based at least in part on second operating parameters associated with the second medical device and a second variance parameter;
- and
- determine a third ablation volume based at least in part on a combination of the first ablation volume and the second ablation volume;
- cause one or more displays to display:
- a real-time perspective view of at least a portion of a first virtual medical device that corresponds to the first medical device,
- a real-time perspective view of at least a portion of a second virtual medical device that corresponds to the second medical device, and
- a perspective view of the third ablation volume.
