Abstract
The invention provides seeds and plants of Catharanthus hybrid ‘PAS1192826’ and the parent lines thereof. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds, plant parts, and tissue cultures of Catharanthus hybrid ‘PAS1192826’ and the parent lines thereof, and to methods for producing a Catharanthus plant produced by crossing such plants with themselves or with another Catharanthus plant, such as a plant of another genotype. The invention further relates to seeds and plants produced by such crossing. The invention further relates plants, seeds, plant parts and tissue cultures of Catharanthus hybrid ‘PAS1192826’ and the parent lines thereof comprising introduced beneficial or desirable traits.

A Catharanthus plant comprising at least a first set of the chromosomes of Catharanthus line R7038D, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202207072.
A Catharanthus plant comprising at least a first set of the chromosomes of Catharanthus line R7038D, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202207072, further comprising a transgene.
A Catharanthus plant comprising at least a first set of the chromosomes of Catharanthus line R7038D, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202207072, further comprising a single locus conversion.
A method for producing a seed of a plant derived from at least one of hybrid ‘PAS1192826’ or line R7038D, the method comprising the steps of:
- (a) crossing a Catharanthus plant of hybrid ‘PAS1192826’ or line R7038D with itself or a second Catharanthus plant;
- a sample of seed of said hybrid and line having been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202207073, and NCMA Accession Number 202207072, respectively;
- and
- (b) allowing seed of a hybrid ‘PAS1192826’- or line R7038D-derived Catharanthus plant to form.
A method for producing a seed of a hybrid ‘PAS1192826’- or line R7038D-derived Catharanthus plant, the method comprising the steps of:
- (a) producing a hybrid ‘PAS1192826’- or line R7038D-derived Catharanthus plant from a seed produced by crossing a Catharanthus plant of hybrid ‘PAS1192826’ or line R7038D with itself or a second Catharanthus plant;
- a sample of seed of said hybrid and line having been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202207073, and NCMA Accession Number 202207072, respectively;
- and
- (b) crossing the hybrid ‘PAS1192826’- or line R7038D-derived Catharanthus plant of step (a) with itself or a different Catharanthus plant to obtain seed of a further hybrid ‘PAS1192826’- or line R7038D-derived Catharanthus plant.
