Abstract
An image forming apparatus includes a chassis having an opening, a cover, photosensitive members, an intermediate transfer belt, a primary-transfer member, a secondary-transfer roller, a cleaner device, an external-sheet inlet, a waste toner container, a connector, and a conveying roller, which is arranged within the feeding path to feed the recording sheet inserted through the external-sheet inlet in the feeding path. The conveying roller is mounted on the waste toner container and removable from the chassis along with the waste toner container.
Claims10
An image forming apparatus, comprising:
- a chassis comprising:
- a front wall having an opening;
- and
- a rear wall spaced apart from the front wall in a predetermined direction;
- a plurality of photosensitive drums aligned along the predetermined direction;
- a plurality of developing rollers for forming developer images on the plurality of photosensitive drums;
- a plurality of cartridges;
- an intermediate transfer belt configured to receive the developer images from the plurality of photosensitive drums;
- a secondary transfer roller configured to transfer the developer images from the intermediate transfer belt to a sheet;
- a feed roller located at a position lower than the secondary transfer roller, the feed roller being configured to feed the sheet toward the secondary transfer roller;
- a first sheet guide configured to guide the sheet to the feed roller;
- and
- a second sheet guide attachable to and detachable from the chassis, the second sheet guide extending in the predetermined direction, the second sheet guide being configured to guide the sheet from the opening to the first sheet guide when the second sheet guide is attached to the chassis,
- wherein, when the second sheet guide is attached to the chassis, a rear end of the second sheet guide is located at a position frontward with respect to a rearmost one of the plurality of photosensitive drums, and the rear end of the second sheet guide is located at a position frontward with respect to the feed roller.

An image forming apparatus, comprising:
- a chassis comprising:
- a front wall having an opening;
- and
- a rear wall spaced apart from the front wall in a predetermined direction;
- a plurality of photosensitive drums aligning along the predetermined direction;
- a plurality of developing rollers for forming developer images on the plurality of photosensitive drums;
- a plurality of cartridges;
- an intermediate transfer belt configured to receive the developer images from the plurality of photosensitive drums;
- a plurality of primary transfer rollers aligning along the predetermined direction at a position to oppose the plurality of photosensitive drums across the intermediate transfer belt,
- a secondary transfer roller configured to transfer the developer images from the intermediate transfer belt to a sheet, the secondary transfer roller being located at a position rearward with respect to a rearmost one of the plurality of primary transfer rollers;
- a feed roller configured to feed the sheet toward the secondary transfer roller;
- a first sheet guide configured to guide the sheet to the feed roller;
- and
- a second sheet guide attachable to and detachable from the chassis, the second sheet guide extending in the predetermined direction, the second sheet guide being configured to guide the sheet from the opening to the first sheet guide when the second sheet guide is attached to the chassis,
- wherein, when the second sheet guide is attached to the chassis, a rear end of the second sheet guide is located at a position frontward with respect to a rearmost one of the plurality of photosensitive drums.
