The upper portion also includes a plurality of forming apertures extending along the medial side.
Claims15
An article of footwear, comprising:
- an upper portion having a toe end and an opposite heel end, a medial side and an opposite lateral side;
- a footbed portion having a toe end and an opposite heel end, a medial side and an opposite lateral side, and a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein
- the footbed portion comprises:
- a concave edge extending between the footbed toe end and the footbed heel end along the footbed medial side;
- a footbed first aperture extending through the top surface and the bottom surface proximate the concave edge between the footbed toe end and a nadir of the concave edge, wherein the footbed first aperture is a hole extending through a substrate material forming the footbed portion;
- and
- a footbed second aperture extending through the top surface and the bottom surface proximate the concave edge between the footbed first aperture and the footbed toe end, and
- wherein the upper portion comprises:
- the medial side comprising a toeward medial edge, a medial flap edge, and a heelward medial edge, wherein the medial flap edge defines a medial flap extending from the upper portion such that the medial flap edge is offset from the toeward medial edge and the medial flap edge is offset from the heelward medial edge to form the medial flap;
- an upper first aperture proximate the upper medial side between the upper toe end and the upper heel end, wherein the upper first aperture is a hole extending through the upper portion at the medial flap;
- and
- an upper second aperture proximate the upper medial side at the medial flap between the upper first aperture and the upper toe end.
