An isolated nucleic acid encoding a recombinant virus comprising a SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (S) or a portion thereof, wherein the virus is a rabies virus, a vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), or a measles virus, and wherein the portion of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (S) comprises a receptor binding site of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (S).
