Abstract
A system and method for closing and sealing a cone is provided. One embodiment extends a first closing head in a first downward slant onto an open top of the cone filled with the smokable material to form a first fold on the top of the cone; extends a sealing head downward onto the first fold; extends a second closing head in a second downward slant onto the open top of the cone to form a second fold on the top of the cone; extends the sealing head downward onto the first fold and the second fold; extends a third closing head in a third downward slant onto the open top of the cone to form a third fold on the top of the cone; and extends the sealing head downward onto the first fold, the second fold, and the third fold.
Claims17
A cone top sealing system that closes and seals a cone that is filled with a smokable material, comprising:
- a control system;
- a cone top sealing actuator, wherein the cone top sealing actuator extends a sealing head downward onto a top of the cone filled with the smokable material;
- a first cone top closing actuator that extends a first closing head in a first downward slant onto an open top of the cone filled with the smokable material, wherein the first closing head contacts a first portion of the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material to form a first fold on the top of the cone;
- a second cone top closing actuator that extends a second closing head in a second downward slant onto the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material, wherein the second closing head contacts a second portion of the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material to form a second fold on the top of the cone;
- a third cone top closing actuator that extends a third closing head in a third downward slant onto the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material, wherein the third closing head contacts a third portion of the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material to form a third fold on the top of the cone,
- wherein the control system communicates a first control signal that actuates the first cone top closing actuator to extend the first closing head to form the first fold,
- wherein, after the first control signal is communicated, the control system communicates a second control signal that actuates the cone top sealing actuator to extend the sealing head downward onto the first fold,
- wherein, after the second control signal is communicated, the control system communicates a third control signal that actuates the second cone top closing actuator to extend the second closing head to form the second fold,
- wherein, after the third control signal is communicated, the control system communicates a fourth control signal that actuates the cone top sealing actuator to extend the sealing head downward onto the first fold and the second fold,
- wherein, after the fourth control signal is communicated, the control system communicates a fifth control signal that actuates the third cone top closing actuator to extend the second closing head to form the third fold, and
- wherein, after the fifth control signal is communicated, the control system communicates a sixth control signal that actuates the cone top sealing actuator to extend the sealing head downward onto the first fold, the second fold, and the third fold.
A method that closes and seals a cone that is filled with a smokable material, comprising:
- communicating a first control signal from a control system to actuate a first cone top closing actuator that extends a first closing head in a first downward slant onto an open top of the cone filled with the smokable material, wherein the first closing head contacts a first portion of the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material to form a first fold on the top of the cone;
- communicating a second control signal from the control system to actuate a cone top sealing actuator, wherein the cone top sealing actuator extends a sealing head downward onto the first fold;
- communicating a third control signal from the control system to actuate a second cone top closing actuator that extends a second closing head in a second downward slant onto the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material, wherein the second closing head contacts a second portion of the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material to form a second fold on the top of the cone;
- communicating a fourth control signal from the control system to actuate the cone top sealing actuator, wherein the cone top sealing actuator extends the sealing head downward onto the first fold and the second fold;
- communicating a fifth control signal from the control system to actuate a third cone top closing actuator that extends a third closing head in a third downward slant onto the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material, wherein the third closing head contacts a third portion of the open top of the cone filled with the smokable material to form a third fold on the top of the cone;
- and
- communicating a sixth control signal from the control system to actuate the cone top sealing actuator, wherein the cone top sealing actuator extends the sealing head downward onto the first fold, the second fold, and the third fold.
