Abstract
An isothiocyanate functional surfactant, wherein the protonated form of said surfactant is represented by the following chemical structure: wherein X includes an integer ranging from approximately 1 to approximately 25, and wherein Y includes an integer ranging from approximately 6 to approximately 25.
Claims1
A formulation comprising:
- a lysine derivative, wherein the lysine derivative comprises an α-nitrogen and a ε-nitrogen, wherein an alkyl and/or alkanoyl substituent comprising at least 8 carbon atoms is bound to the α-nitrogen, and further wherein the ε-nitrogen forms part of an isothiocyanate functional group;
- and
- a carrier for the lysine derivative.
