Abstract
A display device includes a display panel to display an image, and a blood pressure measuring module including a pressure sensor and a pulse wave sensor, wherein the pressure sensor is configured to sense a pressure that is applied to the display panel, the pulse wave sensor includes an optical sensor, and the pulse wave sensor is configured to generate a pulse wave signal using light that is emitted from a pixel of the display panel.

A display device comprising:
- a display panel to display an image;
- and
- a blood pressure measuring module comprising a pressure sensor, a pulse wave sensor and a controller,
- wherein the pressure sensor is configured to sense a pressure that is applied to the display panel,
- wherein the pulse wave sensor is configured to generate a pulse wave signal using light that is emitted from a pixel of the display panel,
- wherein the pulse wave sensor comprises an optical sensor,
- wherein the controller is configured to measure a blood pressure utilizing a pressure signal, which is sensed by the pressure sensor, and the pulse wave signal that is received from the pulse wave sensor, and
- wherein the pressure sensor and the optical sensor overlap the display panel in a thickness direction of the display panel.

- wherein the controller is configured to measure a blood pressure utilizing a pressure signal, which is sensed by the pressure sensor, and the pulse wave signal that is received from the pulse wave sensor, and
- wherein the optical sensor is outside the display panel, and the pressure sensor overlaps the display panel in a thickness direction of the display panel.

- a display panel that comprises a display area including a first area and a second area;
- a pressure sensor that overlaps the display panel in a thickness direction;
- and
- an optical sensor that is below the display panel and overlaps the first area of the display panel,
- wherein the first area of the display panel comprises a plurality of first pixels and a light transmission part,
- wherein the second area of the display panel comprises a plurality of second pixels,
- wherein the light transmission part has a light transmittance higher than that of the first pixels and the second pixels, and
- wherein the first area of the display panel has a light transmittance higher than that of the second area of the display panel.
