Abstract
In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be configured to determine a PSD based on a transmission power associated with transmission of an uplink signal. The apparatus may be configured to select one of a first beam or a second beam for the transmission of the uplink signal based on the PSD. The second beam may be wider than the first beam, and may be generated by a single antenna element of the apparatus. The apparatus may be configured to transmit the uplink signal using the selected one of the first beam or the second beam.
Claims19
A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
- selecting one of a first beam or a second beam that is wider than the first beam for transmission of an uplink signal when a power spectrum density (PSD) satisfies at least one threshold or the second beam when the PSD fails to satisfy the at least one threshold, the PSD being based on a transmission power associated with the transmission of the uplink signal;
- and
- transmitting the uplink signal using the selected one of the first beam or the second beam.
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- means for selecting one of a first beam or a second beam that is wider than the first beam for transmission of an uplink signal when a power spectrum density (PSD) satisfies at least one threshold or the second beam when the PSD fails to satisfy the at least one threshold, the PSD being based on a transmission power associated with the transmission of the uplink signal;
- and
- means for transmitting the uplink signal using the selected one of the first beam or the second beam.
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to:
- select one of a first beam or a second beam that is wider than the first beam for transmission of an uplink signal when a power spectrum density (PSD) satisfies at least one threshold or the second beam when the PSD fails to satisfy the at least one threshold, the PSD being based on a transmission power associated with the transmission of the uplink signal;
- and
- transmit the uplink signal using the selected one of the first beam or the second beam.
A non-transitory, computer-readable medium storing computer-executable code for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), comprising code to:
- select one of a first beam or a second beam that is wider than the first beam for transmission of an uplink signal when a power spectrum density (PSD) satisfies at least one threshold or the second beam when the PSD fails to satisfy the at least one threshold, the PSD being based on a transmission power associated with the transmission of the uplink signal;
- and
- transmit the uplink signal using the selected one of the first beam or the second beam.
