Abstract
A degradation compensator including a compensation factor determiner configured to determine a compensation factor based on a distance between adjacent sub-pixels, and a data compensator configured to apply the compensation factor to a stress compensation weight to generate compensation data for compensating image data.
Claims16
A display device, comprising:
- a display panel comprising a plurality of pixels each having a plurality of sub-pixels;
- a degradation compensator configured to generate a stress compensation weight by accumulating image data, and generate compensation data based on the stress compensation weight and an aperture ratio of the pixels;
- and
- a panel driver configured to drive the display panel based on image data applied with the compensation data,
- wherein the panel driver is configured to output a data voltage of a greater magnitude to a sub-pixel having a greater aperture ratio than a sub-pixel with a lower aperture ratio for the same image data.
