A computer program product for tuning parameters to a synthesis program, by a processor, the computer program product embodied on a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having computer-readable program code portions stored therein, the computer-readable program code portions comprising:
- an executable portion that selects at least one set of parameter settings for the synthesis program;
- an executable portion that runs a plurality of identical synthesis jobs for the at least one set of parameter settings in an iteration of the synthesis program;
- an executable portion that analyzes results of the iteration of the synthesis program utilizing a tuning optimization cost function;
- an executable portion that creates combinations of the parameter settings based on said analysis of the results of the iteration;
- an executable portion that runs at least one synthesis job for each of the combinations of the parameter settings in a subsequent iteration of the synthesis program;
- and
- an executable portion that repeats said analysis of the results, the creating of the combinations of parameter settings, and the running at the at least one synthesis job for each of the combinations of parameter settings until an exit criteria has been achieved.
