Abstract
A computing device includes a memory and at least one processor configured to cooperate with the memory. The processor is to boot the computing device, and direct generated data to data storage. The data storage includes at least one persistent layer and a non-persistent layer. The processor determines if the data is to be stored in the at least one persistent layer or the non-persistent layer based on a version of the operating system being used to boot the computing device.
Claims19
A computing device comprising:
- a memory and at least one processor configured to cooperate with said memory to perform the following:
- boot the computing device,
- direct generated data to data storage, with the data storage comprising at least one persistent layer and a non-persistent layer, and
- determine if the data is to be stored in the at least one persistent layer or the non-persistent layer based on a version of the operating system being used to boot the computing device.
A method comprising:
- booting the computing device;
- directing generated data to data storage, with the data storage comprising at least one persistent layer and a non-persistent layer;
- and
- determining if the data is to be stored in the at least one persistent layer or the non-persistent layer based on a version of the operating system being used to boot the computing device.
A non-transitory computer readable medium for a computing device, with the non-transitory computer readable medium having a plurality of computer executable instructions for causing the computing device to perform steps comprising:
- booting the computing device;
- directing generated data to data storage, with the data storage comprising at least one persistent layer and a non-persistent layer;
- and
- determining if the data is to be stored in the at least one persistent layer or the non-persistent layer based on a version of the operating system being used to boot the computing device.
