Abstract
A method for producing a paper, which includes applying at least one of ionizing radiation and plasma to at least one of a paper base and a compound (A) selected from: a compound having a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond and containing no fluorine atom in a molecular structure, and a compound containing no fluorine atom in a molecular structure in which radicals are generated by irradiation of an electron beam to the compound, to introduce a layer formed from the compound (A) on a surface of the paper base.
Claims17
A method for producing a paper, wherein the method comprises applying at least one of ionizing radiation and plasma to at least one of a paper base and a compound (A) selected from:
- a compound having a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond and containing no fluorine atom in a molecular structure,
- to introduce a layer formed from a graft polymer consisting of the compound (A) on a surface of the paper base,
- wherein the compound (A) is at least one of compounds represented by the following formulae:
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—R2,
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—(CH2)m—OC(═O)—NH—R2,
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—(CH2)m—NH—C(═O)—R3,
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—(CH2)m—NH—C(═O)—NH—R2,
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—(CH2)m—NH—SO2—R2,
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—R4—C6H4—O—R2,
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—(CH2CH2O)n—R2
- wherein:
- R1 is each independently at each occurrence a hydrogen atom, a —CH3 group, or a chlorine atom;
- R2 is each independently at each occurrence an alkyl group having 14 to 28 carbon atoms;
- R3 is each independently at each occurrence an alkyl group having 13 to 27 carbon atoms;
- R4 is each independently at each occurrence a single bond or an alkylene group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- m is an integer of 1 to 28;
- and
- n is an integer of 1 to 3.
A paper comprising a layer formed on a surface thereon, wherein the layer comprises a graft chain formed from a compound (A) selected from:
- a compound having a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond and containing no fluorine atom in a molecular structure,
- and the compound (A) is at least one of compounds represented by the following formulae:
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—R2,
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—(CH2)m—OC(═O)—NH—R2,
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—(CH2)m—NH—C(═O)—R3,
- CH2=C(−R1)—C(═O)—O—(CH2)m—NH—C(═O)—NH—R2,

- R1 is each independently at each occurrence a hydrogen atom, a —CH3 group, or a chlorine atom;
- R2 is each independently at each occurrence an alkyl group having 14 to 28 carbon atoms;
- R3 is each independently at each occurrence an alkyl group having 13 to 27 carbon atoms;
- R4 is each independently at each occurrence a single bond or an alkylene group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- m is an integer of 1 to 28;
- and
- n is an integer of 1 to 3.
