A fragrance composition comprising an isomeric mixture of (3 aS,4aR,5 S,7aS,9R,9aR)-2,2,5,8,8,9a-hexamethyloctahydro-4H-4a,9-methanoazuleno[5,6-d][1,3]dioxole of formula (I)
- and at least one compound selected from compounds of formula (II), (III), (IV) and (V)
- and at least one additional fragrance ingredient.
A method of utilizing a compound of formula (I)
- as a fragrance, the method comprising mixing the compound of formula (I) with a consumer product, or admixing a composition comprising the compound of formula (I) and mixing with a consumer product.
A method of utilizing a compound of formula (I)
- to mask or diminish one or more unpleasant olfactory impressions and/or to enhance the intensity of one or more pleasant olfactory impressions, the method comprising mixing the compound of formula (I) with a consumer product, or admixing a composition comprising the compound of formula (I) and mixing with a consumer product.
