Methods and apparatus for compensating for unique trailer of tractor trailer with autonomous vehicle system

A system comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory operably coupled to the processor, the memory storing instructions that when executed by the processor cause the system to perform operations comprising:
• detecting a pre-trip vehicle health condition during a plurality of pre-trip maneuvers of a vehicle, wherein the pre-trip vehicle health condition comprises tire health condition and brake health condition, wherein a pre-trip maneuver of the plurality of pre-trip maneuvers is determined based on at least one of a health history, a vehicle age, a cargo weight, a cargo type, a trip length, a trip profile, or a trip terrain type associated with the vehicle;
• calculating a vehicle health score based on the tire health condition and the brake health condition of the pre-trip vehicle health condition;
• based on the vehicle health score being at least a threshold value, monitoring at least one of vehicle dynamics data or image data associated with the vehicle to determine a fault condition of the vehicle;
• and
• at least one of:
• in response to the fault condition of the vehicle meeting a first criteria, adjusting at least one of a control parameter of the vehicle or a travel plan of the vehicle;
• or
• in response to the fault condition of the vehicle meeting a second criteria different from the first criteria, causing the vehicle to cease movement.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:

• detecting a pre-trip vehicle health condition during a plurality of pre-trip maneuvers of a vehicle, wherein the pre-trip vehicle health condition comprises tire health condition and brake health condition, wherein a pre-trip maneuver of the plurality of pre-trip maneuvers is determined based on at least one of a health history, a vehicle age, a cargo weight, a cargo type, a trip length, a trip profile, or a trip terrain type associated with the vehicle;
• calculating a vehicle health score based on the tire health condition and the brake health condition of the pre-trip vehicle health condition;
• based on the vehicle health score being at least a threshold value, monitoring at least one of vehicle dynamics data or image data associated with the vehicle to determine a fault condition of the vehicle;
• and
• at least one of:
• in response to the fault condition of the vehicle meeting a first criteria, adjusting at least one of a control parameter of the vehicle or a travel plan of the vehicle;
• or
• in response to the fault condition of the vehicle meeting a second criteria different from the first criteria, causing the vehicle to cease movement.
