Modular amusement park systems and methods

An amusement park configured to host a plurality of users and comprising:

• a show clock configured to generate a clock signal when a ride vehicle is within range of one or more interactive components;
• a plurality of attractions, wherein an attraction of the plurality of attractions comprises a plurality of hardware components, wherein each hardware component of the plurality of hardware components is configured to move based in part on the clock signal;
• and
• a controller, comprising:
• a memory device;
• and
• a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory device, wherein the instructions are configured to cause the processor to:
• receive a signal indicative of an implementation of one or more new hardware components of the plurality of hardware components within the attraction of the plurality of attractions;
• adjust operation of the show clock based at least in part on the signal;
• and
• register the one or more new hardware components of the plurality of hardware components upon receipt of the signal, wherein, upon registration of the one or more new hardware components of the plurality of hardware components, the processor is configured to process input signals received from the one or more new hardware components of the plurality of hardware components, drive operations of the one or more new hardware components of the plurality of hardware components, or a combination thereof, wherein the processor communicates with the one or more new hardware of the plurality of hardware components via one or more corresponding wrappers of a plurality of wrappers of the one or more new hardware components of the plurality hardware components that is coupled to a game application programming interface (API) through a wrapper API.
