Abstract
Methods and composition for treating or preventing a lung infection, or related symptoms, caused by a bacterium, fungus, and/or virus using an effective amount of tafenoquine are disclosed. Methods and compositions for treating or preventing a lung infection in a human that is infected with SARS-CoV-2 using tafenoquine are disclosed.

A method for treating a viral lung infection, or a symptom thereof, in a human subject, said method comprising
- administering to said human subject an effective amount of tafenoquine, a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof, or a pharmaceutical composition comprising tafenoquine.
A method for treating a lung infection, or a symptom thereof, in a human subject, said method comprising administering an effective amount of tafenoquine, a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof, or a pharmaceutical composition comprising tafenoquine, to a human subject in need thereof, wherein said human subject is infected with SARS-CoV-2.
