Abstract
Disclosed are methods useful for the topical therapeutic treatment of skin malignancies including skin cancers and cutaneous metastases using compositions containing nanoparticles of paclitaxel or other taxanes.
Claims25
A method of treating a skin malignancy in a subject in need of treatment, the method comprising topically administering to an affected area of the subject a composition comprising a hydrophobic carrier and a plurality of nanoparticles of non-solubilized taxane,
- wherein the plurality of nanoparticles of non-solubilized taxane are uncoated (neat) individual particles of non-solubilized taxane, and
- wherein the non-solubilized taxane is not bound to or conjugated to any substance.
